A busy few days

We have been so busy that you would think that we are tourists!

Friday, after Micah's art class, we headed to Seattle and went to the Science fiction Museum. It was awesome and we all liked it a lot. We saw a lot of characters we like, including Papa's favorite Gort from "The Day the Earth stood still".
We got a kick out of the signs that were on the restrooms and saw some UFO's!

Joined to the Science Fiction Museum was Experience Music Project. From the moment we stepped in all we could think about was how much my brother Jeff would LOVE this place!

It had so much history, memorabilia, and things to try out!
From there we went to walk around the Seattle Center and looked at the awesome fountain.
Then we headed to the Seattle Aquarium. It was awesome and had a lot of exhibits specific to the Pacific Northwest. The kids loved the touch pools.

One of the highlights was being able to watch the feeding of the Octopus. Jacob had just studied the octopus in his class so it was very cool to see one up close.

Jacob, our animal lover, had the best time of all. He would try to communicate with all the animals and listened closely as the care takers gave their talks. He especially enjoyed getting to know this fish.

This bird reminded us all of my brother Dave! (It is an inside family joke)

Naomi enjoyed seeing everything but did not want to get too close!
We had fun watching Big AL run his tank. He was a big guy!
And watching the otters eat and swim was very cool! For a few days now Jacob has been pretending to be an otter named Chocolate and Nana is his care taker.

Then today we went to the Pacific Science Museum. We saw an IMAX called "Roving Mars". Then it was onto see the robotic dinosaurs...
The insect exhibit...

And our favorite of the whole day-The Butterfly House. None of us had ever been in a butterfly house and it was so cool.

Naomi did not like the butterflies too much and was worried about them landing on her.

This weekend the museum was having a special exhibit called Polar Days. There were all different scientists there to show off their equiptment and talk to us about what they do. We all learned a lot.

Naomi and Nana had fun at the water play area.

It has been a busy couple of days but we have had so much fun. Tonight we are hanging out at home watching a movie and giving our legs a rest!
