I'm a Navy Wife...

At times like this it is so clear to me that I am a Navy wife. I believe you have to be a special kind of person to be a military spouse. You have to dig deep within yourself and find a strength you didn't know you had. You can't always depend on your spouse because the Navy comes first. You have run the house, raise the kids, deal with finances, mow the lawn and take out the trash. You have to be thankful when your sailor is home and not resentful when they are gone. It is hard, you spend many nights and days alone, trying to be strong. When often what you wish for is to be like a "normal" family.

But today I found strength in what I did and I feel stronger for it. The boys and I tried to go to Walmart and the van started acted up again. I started saying outloud, "help us, Jesus" over and over to keep myself calm. Soon in the back I heard Jacob in his sweet little voice, "help us, Dedus" The car almost died on us but slowly we made it back home.

I was able to call a new friend, Brittney, and she followed us to the Car Repair Place and brought us back home again. But I did it, I got the car in and they will check it out tomorrow.

Darrick is trying to learn about leasing a new vehicle, does anyone have any advice on that?

It may not seem like what I did today was a big deal, but to me it was and I am really proud of myself!

Good Job Jenn! I'm proud of you! man... I can't imagine the stuff you have to go through... But I'm here for you if you need me! (although I am in Iowa!!!!) I'm sure Jesus will help you! That's awesome what Jaccob said! Car problems suck.

Jenn, you have always been a godly example to me of a Christian woman. Reading your frank struggles and triumphs is very uplifting!

I know God is giving your the strength to carry on. Your obedience and willingness to seek seek contentment in life and to strive if living is a great example to me.

I'll be praying for a good resolution to your transportation woes!
