How many of you reading this have heard your parents say "I hope one day you have a child just like you!" Well for anyone who knows Micah, he not only looks like Darrick but he acts like him too. We have thought all along that Jacob seemed to be more like me-he is loud, friendly, assertive and not shy but today he comfirmed our assumption.
I was in bed this morning awake, but not wanting to get up when Micah comes in and says, "Mom, Jacob is taking all his clothes off!" A few seconds later Jacob runs in, with a big smile on his face and says "Clothes off!" Thankfully he left his diaper on. Right away I recalled all the times the parents told me that I was always taking my clothes off and even running into the front yard naked.
It is so wierd to see a little you running around your house, you know what they are thinking and what they are going to do.
Today while Jacob was napping, Micah and I were playing some games. I was teaching him how to play "old maid" except we were playing with Noah's Ark cards so it was old Noah. He quickly caught on that he did not want to have Noah and he laughed when I would pick Noah. But it was hard because he would stick the Noah card higher and move the cards so my hand went towards it. He got mad when he had Noah and we talked about winning and being a good sport when he loses but he didn't want to play anymore.
On Monday I am going to start teaching Micah about the Alphabet. We are going to do a letter a week. While I was searching the internet I found this cool site that we all really liked. You should check it out, it is really cool! It is http://www.bemboszoo.com/

That is a cool site! I'm really impressed by the animations!
It is neat that you can recognize yourself in your children... it is also amazing that they are so different and special! Kinda like snowflakes, I suppose.
I had so much fun looking at all the letters. That's pretty funny about Micah and "Old Noah" - losing is no fun, but I guess you have to learn to do that too. :o) Let him know that he can win whenever he plays with me!
