Blackberry Picking

This morning our friend, Debbie, invited the kids and I to pick blackberries with her. Can you believe that the kids and I have never been berry picking?! The most amazing part was that we went to one of the city parks and they just had tons of wild bushes loaded with berries.

The kids had fun and tried to find the biggest ones! And while we were picking a blue heron flew over our heads and landed in the pond. They are so big and beautiful!

I think the kids actually did more eating then picking!

Debbie gave me a recipe to make a cobbler so after rinsing and drying the berries I wiped up an easy cobbler!
